Chinatown New Year Parade celebrating the Lunar New Year, “Year of the Rat, 4706 – February 7, 2008" will include marching bands, floats, lion teams, 100' Mystical Dragon, Miss Chinatown and Miss Friendship Ambassador. Please join us to welcome in the new year as we convey “ Gung Hay Fat Choy” to all in attendance.

Chinatown Summer Fair (29th Annual)
10:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m.
Wentworth from Cermak to 24th Place
Neighborhood Festival featuring: A Lion Dance procession at 12:30 p.m., welcome at 1 p.m. starts at the Main Stage (23rd St. & Wentworth Ave.) with Asian cultural entertainment and live music. A taste of Chinatown’s many restaurants, local unique gift shops, Chinese art’s and craft’s exhibit, street vendors with an array of merchandise and a children’s area (24th Place & Wentworth) for a day long family event.
