PRESS ADVISORY The Chicago DragonŐs Athletic Association are pleased to announce the 28th Hai-Hwa/Midwest Chinese Basketball Tournament: DATE: Saturday, May 3, 2008 TIME: 8:30 a.m. Opening Ceremonies PLACE: University of Illinois at Chicago 901 West Roosevelt Road This will be the largest and most exciting competition of Chinese basketball talent to be assembled in Illinois. This tournament will feature over 30 teams, drawing hundreds of our best athletes to be showcased at the University of Illinois, Chicago Circle Campus, Physical Education Building, 901 West Roosevelt Road. The Hai-Hwa/Midwest Chinese Basketball Tournament is organized under the auspices of Director General Thomas T.S. Cheng of the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office in Chicago, Mr. Jason Cheng, Director of Chinese Cultural Center (TECOC), Mr. Wayne Moy , President of the Chinese Consolidated Benevolent Association, Gene Lee, Director of the Chicago DragonŐs Athletic Association, Daniel S. Solis, Alderman and Committeeman, 25th Ward Democratic Organization, and University of Illinois at Chicago.
